Inspired performance by Jasbir Singh gives Gloucester City a share of the spoils

JASBIR SINGH put in a good shift between the sticks to give Gloucester City a share of the spoils against Salford City.

The former Shrewsbury Town and Kidderminster Harriers goalkeeper made a string of fine saves to ensure the score was kept at 1-1 in the opening game of the new season.

Singh had been beaten by Salford’s James Poole, who gave National League North newcomers the lead after 50 minutes.

But Joe Parker levelled things up with 23 minutes to go.

And Gloucester had Singh to thank for keeping the scoreline level and take home a point.
