Michael Chopra signs for Kerala Blasters for second season in Indian Super League

MICHAEL CHOPRA has been signed up by the Kerala Blasters for the third edition of the Indian Super League (ISL).

The former Newcastle and Sunderland striker will once again don the yellow jersey of the side who featured in the final of the first competition in 2014.

Chopra has been without a club since March after leaving Scottish side Alloa Athletic but Blasters coach Steve Coppell has decided to take a punt on the forward.

The 32-year-old will reportedly be training with Indian I-League side DSK Shivajians to get his fitness back up to standard before the ISL season gets under way in October.
