NEIL TAYLOR made his first start of the season in Swansea City’s 3-1 win over Peterborough United in the EFL Cup.
The 27-year-old enjoyed a good summer with Wales in the European Championship in France, reaching the semi-finals.
But Taylor has yet to feature in the Premier League as manager Francesco Guidolin has preferred to play Stephen Kinglsey at the left-back position.
Earlier in the month, Guidolin told the press that Taylor’s position was not a guaranteed to start in the early part of the season.
He said: “I cannot promise anything. I want to be honest and clear with my players. It is not easy. I spoke with Neil explaining my idea for him in this period.”
Swansea have had an even start to the Premier League season, winning one and losing one.
Their next fixture is against champions Leicester City on Saturday.
