Chopra scores first goal for Kerala Blasters in victory over Mumbai

MICHAEL CHOPRA finally broke his his duck to give Kerala Blasters a 1-0 win over Mumbai City in the Indian Super League (ISL) tonight.

Chopra spoke exclusively to Dev Trehan prior to the game about his desperation to make his mark for Kerala and give the fans something to shout about.

The 32-year-old struck in the 58th minute, receiving the ball inside the box before slotting past the Mumbai keeper from close range.

That goal would have resonated with Cardiff City fans, who enjoyed Chopra’s fox-in-the-box prowess during his two spells with the Championship club.

Kerala have started the slow climb up the ISL table after picking up four points from as many games.
